Mountain Adventure World Vipiteno-Racines
Even the ascent to the world of animals and plants in the Mountain Adventure World Racines with the cable car is an experience. Roaring mountain water, whistling marmots, and informative boards about fauna and flora accompany the 45-minute walk on the stroller-friendly path. Add water games, a petting zoo, and child-friendly mountain huts for a strengthening meal.

Paragliding & Tandem Jumps
Thermals and slopes make hearts race in paragliding, provided you have good footwear and clothing adapted to the temperature. The Monte Cavallo, reachable year-round by cable car from the city, offers “big cinema.” In the Ridanna valley, nothing stands in the way of the flying experience from Elleswiesen or Gewingesalm. Tandem flights are available in Ridanna and at Monte Cavallo.

High Ropes Course Vipiteno
Skytrek – Our Partner in the Treetops
Explore your own limits and overcome fears. “Climbing” through treetops, balancing on wobbly bridges, and overcoming nets and ropes – little and big adventurers experience the thrill. In the Skytrek high ropes course in Nordpark – just two minutes from the historic city center – from April to October. Public transportation takes you directly to the bus station in front of the entrance to the high ropes course.

The Panorama Mountain Coaster
Exactly 1,303 m of fun and adrenaline are on the agenda with the Panorama Mountain Coaster. It starts with the summer toboggan run at Monte Cavallo at the mountain station of the Panorama lift at 2,120 m above sea level. During the ride over about 300 vertical meters, with an average slope of 21% and a maximum speed of 40 km/h, besides the grand view of the mountains of Vipiteno and surroundings, there is a lot of fun for young and old.

Mountaincarts Ladurns
Sitting in three-wheeled vehicles with robust rims, disc brakes, and a dual-circuit brake system, you can experience full action and a sense of freedom over 6.5 km of forest road from Ladurner Alm down the northern slope. You’ll enjoy 20 to 30 minutes of high-speed fun without a motor, noise, or exhaust fumes, with 1 underpass, 2 galleries, and 12 curves. Cart rental: mountain station of the Ladurns cable car.

Water rats pay attention! Gliding down the isarco with its river loops in a raft: an exciting natural experience, intense team experience, and thrilling action from spring to autumn. The tours in the holiday region Isarco Valley-Wipptal Valley and surroundings are fantastic: be it the 2-pass tour Passo di Pennes – Bolzano – Passo Giovo (100 km), the 3-pass tour Passo Giovo – Timmelsjoch – Passo del Brennero (198 km), or the grand Dolomite tour over varied 250 km. Maps with the motorcycle tours are available at the reception.

Mushroom Picking in Vipiteno, Racines & Campo di Trens
Summer and early autumn bring mushrooms to the forests around Vipiteno. For picking a maximum of 1 kg per day and person (over 14 years) – only on even days between 7 am and 7 pm – a permit is required in Vipiteno, Racines, and Campo di Trens. Printed or on the smartphone, it must be presented along with an ID during checks by the forestry guard.

Skiing at the Monte Cavallo Ski Area
The “Sunny Terrace of Vipiteno” Monte Cavallo presents itself in winter as a family-friendly ski area with a spectacular panorama over the Wipptal Valley and the Isarco Valley to the Dolomites. The valley station is only 5 minutes from the center of Vipiteno. In winter, the small but fine ski area offers 20 well-groomed and sunny slopes.

Tobogganing at Monte Cavallo and in Vipiteno
Tobogganing is a real highlight in Vipiteno-Racines. At Monte Cavallo, you will find the longest, snow-covered, and illuminated toboggan run in Italy with a length of 10 km. Twice a week, there is night tobogganing fun! From mid-December to March the cable cars take you to 1,860 m above sea level. The toboggan runs Val di Vizze/Grube, Prantneralm, and Egg also await you for a sleigh ride.

As Long as it’s Cross-Country Skiing
Nearly 100 km of well-groomed cross-country ski trails of all difficulty levels are waiting to be explored. For example, those in the Pfitschtal amid a fantastic landscape at an altitude of 1,500 m. Whether you enjoy these or another scenic backdrop in the classic diagonal step or want to exert yourself in the skating technique, all trails can be reached from Vipiteno within a radius of about 5 km.

Ice Skating in Vipiteno-Racines
Even if the sun doesn’t play along as desired, ice skating is always a lot of fun. Those who feel like gliding on blades or spinning pirouettes have a choice of the Weihenstephan Arena in the Ice Sports Hall in Vipiteno (home of the Wipptal Broncos), the ice rinks in Stelvio and Mules in Campo di Trens, as well as those in San Giacomo in Vizze and Prati. First steps on ice are possible on the 20 x 20 m ice rink in the town square in the pedestrian zone.
